Overview
Hepatitis is inflammation of the liver, most commonly caused by viral infections (A, B, C, or E). Each type behaves differently — some are acute and self-limiting, others can become chronic and require long-term care. Modern treatments have made many forms of hepatitis highly manageable.
Common symptoms
- Yellowing of skin and eyes (jaundice)
- Dark urine and pale stools
- Loss of appetite and nausea
- Fatigue and general weakness
- Pain in the upper right side of the abdomen
When to see a doctor
If you develop jaundice, have been exposed to someone with hepatitis, or your routine blood tests show abnormal liver function, see a specialist for proper evaluation. Chronic hepatitis B and C are often silent — testing is the only way to know.
How we help
We provide complete evaluation including viral testing, liver function assessment, and treatment with the latest antiviral therapies where appropriate. For chronic hepatitis, we offer long-term monitoring to protect liver health.
